Elegant Jane

Booth pictures and a few others...
Have really enjoyed the booth-its definitely my outlet...since Christmas it has been more of a job than hobby BUT...I can't complain. I'm having fun and have met lots of people and currently have lots of different "jobs" going on from faux finishing furniture to redecorating homes. Spending someone's money never gets old!

Custom job--it was a French piece, can't turn those down!!
Antique buffet-bought in Arkansas and managed to get it to Jackson=)

 Custom job- foyer piece
Custom job- this was an old junk frame I bought,  painted gold and then made the top out of wood planks. This lady wanted the restoration hardware look-she loved it...that's all that matters!
Can't handle turquoise....this piece is currently being repainted

Kids toy shelf w/ 2 drawers

The garage of a furniture hoarder=)
working on this piece for a nursery

Removed the gold detail and painted cream/white-another nursery piece

 LOVE french provincial

Old old antique windows made into wedding frames for a bride

9 drawer french provincial piece...this was sold before I even bought it=)

I'm about to start this as a custom job (lady wants a coral color?!) We shall see how this turns out!

The real Elegant Jane is surely being missed.....I have a picture of her and my grandaddy from Valentines 2011- the picture is of her kissing him "bye" as we left for lunch. I treated her to Valentines lunch @ The Biscuit Company and we sat in the window that over looks the river. What I would give for another Valentines with her. Miss u mymother!!! XOXO

Happy 2013!

This is for you Debbie!!

We moved in RIGHT before Christmas (3-4 weeks?) so I figured putting up Christmas decor made the unpacking WAY more fun. I might not have had any art hung, curtains up, etc but I had my Christmas decorations out and that made it all worth it!!!

These new little MacKenzie Childs stockings looked wonderful over the new mantle. Large and colorful. Obsessed~

We did the Meeks' Christmas at our house this year because Nic's family wanted to see the house and it gave us a reason to "get it together"....Nic cooked, I cleaned and decorated=) To get ready for our first "party"...I had (before we ever even moved in) curtains made, I refinished some pieces of furniture and I got some art framed, pictures hung, etc. I stressed a bit but I'm a last minute/work under pressure kind of person...it got done. And thats all that matters!
Curtains in the master bedroom. IN LOVE.
Some of the bedding.

I picked this fabric out within minutes, literally. Something about that gold accent jumped out at me=) Love the way it all turned out.

Hanging those heavy ass curtains was another story. Sweet sweet Nic.

He did lots of this while I unboxed and to be honest, I was VERY ok with that=)

Furnishing this house has been my FAVORITE FAVORITE part. Elegant Jane kicked in =)
Rugs, chairs, lamps, accessories...I LOVE it all!!!

I'm continually "fluffing"....rearranging stuff on the shelves (we have so many built in shelves in this house...Its amazing but overwhelming too!), moving chairs from the den, to the living room to the bedroom and then back...and I'll forever be working on the library. I'm continually buying stuff for those shelves and I feel like it doesn't even put a dent in them.
Bought a pair of these chairs for the formal living room
Then found these and liked them better...
Now all four reside in the living room=) Can never have enough seating!
Bought this water color (Daryl Anderson....check him out @ Fondren art gallery....LOVE his work!) last year for Nic...its a picture of Walkers...symbolic of our engagement. Finally had it framed and went with a natural looking wooden frame...felt like it made it more "casual" and it goes great in the den because it contrast well with the exposed beam in the kitchen.
Redid our bedside tables to match.... I'm certainly not a matchy person but these actually look better matching/coordinating colors=)

Fabric for kitchen roman shades (9 weeks later...going to pick up this weekend!!!)
Went back/forth with the layout of furniture in this room....I think this is now one of my favorite rooms. Love the way it turned out....that fabulous rug I bought nearly a year ago just sets off the natural tones/colors! (plus 2 more chairs that aren't pictured give me plenty of seating....time for a party!!)
Not my favorite space but...I'm in the process of having a piece of art made for over the mantle. I hate the mirror there but it was the only large thing I had. I'm continually fluffing these shelves and no where near done with the mantle. A constant project house...my favorite part...not Nics=)

Few of the bedrooms....upstairs bedroom is VERY uncomplete. Bed is in 4 pieces. Not high on the priority list!
Twin bedroom-for all my friends' children to come stay
This room was supposed to be manly-hince the exposed beams BUT...I couldn't resist.
One of my favorite pieces. This sits in a guest bedroom until I can find another spot for it=)
 Art hung, shelves filled!

Christmas in the new house
Sweet Aideyn came to see me quite a bit while his parents where doing some Christmas shopping in Jackson.

We tried getting Remi a bed, with hopes that he would stop sleeping in ours...FAILURE! He only lays on it during the day because the floors get cold!
This is what Remi thinks about the outside Christmas trees..he did this 3-4 times. GROSS!

Annual Christmas party @ The Whitakers w/ all my friends precious babies

 Meeks Christmas

First night to use the outside fireplace....now we're hooked=)
Nic did all the cooking...woo hoo!

 Tyler and Nic Nic (twins)

Tyler rushing his Paw Paw Parker to finish eating so we could start with gifts=)

 Alecia & Eric

After everyone left...I went right back out to this spot and enjoyed 3 hours of lifetime=)
