Last week I was working Mobile, Gulf Shores, Coast and Hattiesburg and got to meet up with a friend for dinner and drinks. That rarely happens. Nobody lives in the towns I visit anymore. I need a friend on the coast and one in Tupelo. BLOGGERS...FIND ME 2 FRIENDS PLEASE!
Wanna hear something sweet/sad?
Nic has called me the past 2 nights telling me that Remi sleeps by the front door and wont eat, sad isn't it? At least someone misses me ;)
oh wait.. one last thing that relates to work then happy thoughts..... ok so this week I'm working all the little towns around the Tupelo area (amory, verona, new albany, fulton, baldwyn, etc etc..) and for those of you who dont know .. this area is where ALL the furniture manufacturing is. Its pretty neat but would amaze you how cheaply made most furniture is but yet we pay an arm and a leg for it.....
Anyways...So today I'm meeting with a guy that owns a manufacturing plant and as we talk about hiring procedures, safety meetings, and everything else as it relates to safety, he informs me that before he took over the plant, the previous owner had beer in the drink vending machines and employees smoked weed in the smoke room/break room. You can imagine my reaction. Then he says.....thats common at most furniture plants...UGH.... Am I missing something? I've inspected 20 or more of these places and never did I ever think to check the break room? LORD, help me! We work at implementing drug and alcohol policies and they are doing this in the next room?!!!!!!!!!
Ok, enough...just thought y'all might get a kick out of that! Learn something new everyday.
I spent June celebrating birthdays and relaxing at the lake. July was WEDDING MONTH...
July 7th, my good friend Nicole DeRouen got married in Lake Charles, LA.
Isn't this beautiful? They got married overlooking Lake Charles. BEAUTIFUL
Louisiana brides have a "money dance" and needless to say...Nicole racked up and got to dance with lots of cute boys, ha!
And they were taken away in a huge yacht.
Wedding #2-July 24-Hope and Nathan. This wedding was at Dunleith Plantation in Natchez. Nic and I have been here before and were super excited to return. The place is BEAUTIFUL!! Outdoor wedding in mid July = hot, sweaty, bad pictures, bad hair, etc...Hope was beautiful and her make up and hair didn't seem bothered one bit.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Smith
And this would be a few bridesmaids getting in the fountain...I dont believe Hope liked that.
Needless to say, despite the heat, I was entertained all night by these two!
The beautiful Mr. and Mrs. Dane Ballard
