Phase 1

We are finally starting phase 1 in our backyard....I CAN NOT EVEN EXPLAIN HOW HAPPY I AM!! I'm ready for grass!!!!! As Nic explains, we can't do the sod until all the "other" is done. So...baby steps it is!

Nic has been designing this backyard since before we ever started building (early 2012). He has revised it 100x's (at least!) To finally see dirt being moved, block brought in and progress of any sort makes me sooooooo happy.

English rose garden....my dream come true

Grass area for all my friends babies/children (after this, we can't afford kids for another 10 years)

Day 1 - sideyard is full of dirt piles

 

I failed to take pictures of the "ditches" where they poured concrete before doing the walls.

 

Day 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.... constructing block retaining walls (to be covered/capped w/ brick, I believe?!)

Looks pretty boring but that wall is very important for some reason?! Its everywhere!
