Teachers and students all over get fall break, what about the rest of us? Not fair. My boss and his wife took a trip this week with their children to the mountains and I'm stuck WORKING (only 4 days though, weeeeeeee)
Work has been interesting lately...
Last week I worked Mobile and along the Gulf Coast - 4 whole days. My mom was on the coast for a conference so I made my schedule coordinate with hers and I'm so glad I did. I spent the entire week with my mom and my best friend, Sarah. I had someone to eat lunch with, shop with, workout with, have drinks with and fall asleep talking to. Quite fun!
Sarah lives and works on the coast during the week (PS-currently job searching in the Jackson area if anyone knows of anything) and comes back to Jackson every weekend. She actually lives in hotels, yes LIVES. She doesn't want to sign a contract or lease an apartment because her hopes are to find something in the Jackson area SOON...smart girl!
We all stayed at Imperial Palace, which if any of you have ever been there, you know there is ALWAYS something going on and lots of places to eat/drink. Much more fun than the usual, Comfort Suites.
Each morning my mom and I got up and walked to the beach and back. Dumb me didn't pack pants, sweat shirts and sleeves so... the early am walk was pretty damn cold!
Visited a variety of places during my week long trip... livestock auction, art gallery, vacuum truck manufacturer, IHOP, McAlisters (PS....will never eat at the one in Gulfport again), Produce Distributor, Construction company, convenient store wholesaler (LOTS of CANDY), and 10 more interesting places. With that being said.. this week was quite LONG ... I had 18 reports to generate in 4 days=Not fun.
On to happier thoughts... today Nic and I both took off work to get things done around our house because tomorrow night we're throwing a surprise 50th bday party for Nic's mom. I CAN'T WAIT to see her reaction!!!!! She has NO clue!!
TGIF everyone!
