Relaxing in Seaside

I've blogged more this past week than I have in months! I've been working local lately, which gives me more "down time" in the office so I've caught up on my blogging, finally!

So..Nic and I have been trying to figure out where we could go for a quick summer get-a-way.  We have been debating between Charleston/Savannah Trip or the beach. As much as I'd love to visit Charleston, there is just too much we want to do there and too many places we want to visit outside of Charleston so I just didn't t think it would end up being very relaxing. Nic reminded me that Charleston would be more enjoyable in the fall (when its not as hot) so..the beach it is!!! We've booked a cottage in Seaside for the last week of June.We are both super excited!
I plan to sleep late everyday, get super tan, shop and of course-eat, eat, eat!
The places I'm most excited about are...

The Red Bar- best crab cakes around!

Bud & Alley's-Fun rooftop bar and of course-great food too!

Isn't this place beautiful? I would definitely like living somewhere like this one day=) Wishful thinking!!

Also, I'm excited about trying out the new, V Restaurant in Seaside!!

June is going to be a busy month for the Meeks. This weekend, we've got Nic's family coming over for dinner to celebrate his dad's birthday and 2 weekends after that, we've got my entire family coming over for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday, my grandmothers birthday & fathers day--all in one! I love entertaining-Nic does all the cooking and he instructs me to "entertain" aka just drink and talk! SCORE!
