This year, Nic and I had a NYE wedding for our friends/neighbors Stacy Leaumont & Jay Craig.
Stacy & Jay w/ Jake & Baker (Jay's adorable boys)
Nic and I first visited Dunleith in 2008-he took me on a "surprise destination" trip for Valentines. We stayed on the lower level of the house, ate dinner & had brunch at "The Castle" (restaurant/pub)....now that I am fully aware that Dunleith is haunted--I'm glad it was a "surprise" and I knew nothing about the place because I might have opted out!
Last summer, we attended a July wedding there for our friends Nathan & Hope..it was beautiful but like all summer months in MS, hott as hell!! I would have to admit, after visiting for this wedding...December is the most beautiful time to visit. The house was lit with white lights and decorated so beautifully.
Nic and I headed to Natchez around lunch on Saturday. We checked into our hotel then walked around the downtown area to the local bars and shops. We had appetizers and beer at "Biscuits & Blues"
FYI-The beer was good but the cheese sticks, not so much. And that's coming from me...I LOVE cheese but frozen cheese sticks are gross!
We stayed at The Grand Hotel-in the historical district (downtown off the River)
The staff was friendly and the rooms were super nice! I highly recommend!
Stacy & Jay definitely outdid themselves with the "welcome bags"--they had all kinds of Mississippi & Louisiana themed sweets & snacks. (Perfect for late night on NYE!)
Rebecca & Brandi
The bride is here...
Beautiful bride Stacy & her father
Mr. & Mrs. Jay Craig

Cheese Cake
Brandi & Andrew are always the best dancers at a wedding!

The dance floor got wild!
Brooke & Joel w/ Mr. and Mrs. Jay Craig
Brooke (Stacy's childhood friend) w/ the Beautiful Bride
White handkerchief dance
This wedding was SO fun-lots of Louisiana traditions were shared.....the bride danced with all 8 (or 7) of her uncles, they served every kind of Louisiana style food there is and then of course the fun white handkerchief dance!
After the reception at Dunleith, an after party was held at The Grand Hotel. Everyone rang in the New Year watching a fire work show, wearing 2012 glasses, hats, tierra's and streamers!
Congratulations Jay & Stacy!!!
