God Winks

God wink: An occurrence out of the ordinary,  put in place by God. A wink from God letting you know you're going in the right direction.

This morning I was talking to a good friend and telling her the story of the sweet couple we met last night @ the baseball game (Doctor (83) & Mrs. Ginsburg (77)). I was telling her that meeting them and hearing their encouraging words could not have come at a better time. They walked up and sat next to us during the 3rd inning and although we were in the most fun, energy filled stadium, my mind kept drifting off to my current situation and desire to hurry up and have my dang cycle so I could plan all the other details for the next 2 weeks. They ended up leaving during the 7th inning but before they walked off, she grabbed her cane, turned and looked at me and said …"Honey, I have bone chills, I'm just so excited for you....its going to be good" After telling my friend this she goes "well that was a God wink"

PERFECT! It was a God wink. Loved that she called it that because that is exactly how I felt. I literally had just asked my mom this morning on our way to acupuncture (another pretty cool story) if she knew what God winks were. This was DEFINITELY one. Great minds!

First thing this morning, my acupuncturist from back home texted me and asked for an update. When I told her my cycle hadn't come, she told me to find out who my clinic recommends and to go have acupuncture to help. The clinic sent me a list of 4. I called all of them that were in Denver (3 of the 4) & no answer so I left messages for each. I figured I would wait to hear back from one of them and mom urged me to call the 4th one. The 4th one was in Parker, CO so I figured it was crazy to call them when surely one of the other 3 would call back. As usual, Mom knows best 😊  I ended up calling the 4th acupuncture clinic in Parker, CO (only 15 min drive), the lady answered and had 1 opening for 10:30. We jumped in the car and headed straight there. After my treatment, she informs me that she closes at 12:00 and was going to be out of town for the next week. What are the chances I got squeezed in?! “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Psalm 94:19 God can bring joy to your soul even during times when you’re most anxious by simply knowing that He’s present and trusting in His power.

I lay down my need to understand why things happen the way they do and promise to see the gift of this moment!

“Be happy in the moment, that’s enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.” — Mother Teresa
